Yard Sale: At the beginning of June, you’re sure to find something at St. Mark’s annual yard sale. Better yet, why not rent a table and sell some of your own items.

International Food Festival: Usually the last weekend in April, this evening offers a variety of foods representing the multiculturalism of the St. Mark’s Congregation.

Portuguese Chicken Dinner: St. Mark’s annual Portuguese chicken dinner on the 3rd Saturday in June, features a lovely authentic meal with door prizes and a raffle.

Caribbean Night: In October, come out for an evening of West Indian food and entertainment.

Holly Tea: In November, St. Mark’s hosts an afternoon tea and bizarre where you can purchase a variety of donated and hand crafted items for sale.

Christmas Eve: A wonderful way to celebrate Christmas with the family. Come sing all the familiar carols and hear the story of Christmas again.

New Year’s Eve: Come and celebrate the New Year with friends and family as we worship, share in communion and sing of God’s goodness to us all. The service begins at 7:00 pm.

 

~~Groups~~

Choirs: St. Mark’s has four vocal groups which meet regularly for practice and participation in Sunday worship. For more information about the various choirs and other music programming at St. Mark’s contact Jo Ann Bischoff at
Senior Choir: For adults, Thursday evening practices
Intermediate Choir: For young adults
Children’s Choir: For children from JK-Gr. 8
Five Alive Singers: A special children’s ensemble

Lunch Bunch: On alternate Wednesdays, a small group of adults gather at 12:00 pm for a brown bag lunch and Bible Study. All are welcome. For information call Pat Richards at

St. Mark’s Youth Society: This group of high school youth gathers intermittently for social events, worship, service projects, youth conferences and evenings of discussion about faith and life. For more information, contact Dianne Douglas at dmdouglas@sympatico.ca.

Good Samaritan Fund: All money donated to this fund goes toward child sponsorship.

Presbyterians Sharing: As a member of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, St. Mark’s contributes a portion of the weekly offering to Presbyterians Sharing. Presbyterians Sharing is the national church fund that supports the mission and ministries of the church in Canada and around the world including encouraging and equipping congregational renewal and development, supporting inner city, native, refugee, urban, remote and chaplaincy ministries in Canada and sending mission personnel to work with international partners.

Presbyterian World Service & Development (PWS&D): The development and relief agency of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
